Aérobic is a French variety of common wheat, superior bread-making quality and with a high protein content and a good performance when baked. Baking tests carried out by ANMF (Association Nationale de la Meunerie Française) showed, in addition to a good performance when baked, constant results.

When this variety was registered, Aérobic obtained excellent remarks with regard to its resistance to lodging and diseases, including yellow rust and brown rust, Septoria and mildew.

Without fungicide treatments, Aérobic yield losses are less than half in comparison to the losses recorded by other varieties of common wheat; for this reason, this variety has spread considerably in the last period.

In addition to the use of nitrogen fertilization, experts suggest the use of herbicide treatments in spring and fungicide treatments at the time of earing stage.
