ST ALTEO is a variety of soft wheat used for biscuits. It was registered in Italy in September 2010. It has a high weight of the one thousand seeds and good technological characteristics of the dough (low stikiness). It is characterized by its good resistance to the main adversities and it tolerates the Fusarium ear blight.
The excellent tolerance to the Fusarium ear blight allows a complete grain fulfillment and a low level of mycotoxin in all conditions.
In the 2010/2011 season, in open-field conditions, SY ALTEO produced 90 quintals per hectare!
